OUR FARM
Four generations rooted in Somerset
Caring four our cattle, our land and
the next generation.
Our Story
Barwick Park Farm has been home to our family since 1960, when my grandparents took on the farm tenancy. I’m the third generation to live here, and the fourth generation to fam under our partnership name, T.W. Wixon and Sons.
From 1960 to 2001, we were a dairy farm with British Friesian cattle.
In 2001, we became the sole owners of the farm and moved to a beef suckler herd, predominantly Charolais.
In 2019, we introduced the Ruby Red Devon bull and began building the herd we have today. We now sell our own home-grown beef.

Caring for our cattle and land
Looking after our cattle and landscape has always been our priority. We love planting trees and caring for the historic parkland. We don't use artificial fertilisers and sparsly use sprays but only when needed. We are not certified organic but aim to farm as naturally and as thoughtfully as we can.
